FSY OPEN SESSION OPPORTUNITY!!

This is NOT our Stake’s year to attend FSY, we are an “off-cycle” unit… BUT… on April 20th all the youth in the Quincy Stake will have the opportunity to register for any FSY Sessions that still have open space anywhere in the US! This is a new unique opportunity that is being opened up to individual youth this year.

How does this work?
On April 20th bishoprics may begin approving their youth to attend FSY.  As of now, Bishoprics cannot approve youth before that date. This may lead to some craziness that day as youth will not be able to register that day until a member of their Bishopric has approved them. Please give your Bishopric the “heads up”.  Once received, approved youth may register for available bed space in their country of residence.

Fee Information:
Each family will pay a $75 fee during registration. Then the ward will be billed an additional $75 fee for any youth who register for FSY and do not withdraw their registration. As FSY was not budgeted for off-cycle stakes this year, the ward may ask the youth to reimburse the fee. This would be done by a youth filling out a physical tithing form and writing “FSY’ into the ‘local’ category.

Transportation:
Transportation is not offered to off-cycle units. Your family would be responsible for your transportation to and from the session.

An example of how this could look:
Let’s say you have a cousin or friend that lives in Idaho, both of you find a session that has 2 openings in Utah and plan to attend that FSY Session and Location together.

How to view open sessions and register:
On April 20th login with the youth’s church account at this website: FSY Registration >

MARCH FIRESIDE | SATURDAY’S WARRIOR

We hope you enjoyed the Quincy Stake Youth Fireside that was held in March!  The youth participated in a “social experiment” on how we spend our time. Then they discovered who they are. A “Saturday’s Warrior” which as described in the lyrics by Lex De Azevedo explain, that these few youth were warriors saved for “Saturday”, the last days of the world.  Youth then discovered what mission they were sent here for and were given a challenge to work on following impressions in order to prepare themselves to join the Youth Battalion that President Russell M. Nelson invited the youth to enlist in. The Youth Battalion is to help Gather Israel. At the end of the Fireside the youth were given a challenge and invited to participate in a Saturday’s Warrior Boot Camp Training…

SATURDAY’S WARRIOR BOOT CAMP TRAINING

  • DECIDE | Decide if you will join the Youth Battalion.
  • ASK | Pray to Heavenly Father and ask a specific question.
  • LISTEN | Listen, look and seek for the answer.
  • ACT | Did you get an answer? Do it! Schedule it. Plan it. Organize it. Whatever you need to do in order to make it happen.
  • CHALLENGE | Complete the Boot Camp Training once by the next Fireside on May 28th

References used that would be great resources to study:
