Young Women’s Camp

Young Women’s Camp is just around the corner for all Young Women turning 12 – 18 in 2024. The registration deadline has passed. If you would still like to attend camp, please contact Gena Ellena.

All Young Women & Adult Leaders attending Camp must

• Submit Online Medical Release & Camp Contract

CAMP INFORMATION:

  • Camp Theme – Coming Soon!
  • When is Camp? Monday, July 29th – Thursday, August 1st for all Young Women
  • 5th years will be going on an overnight hike the weekend before camp. Friday, July 26th – Saturday, July 27th.
  • Camp Fee: $100 for each Young Women (No extra Cost for 5th years)

DROP-OFF & PICK-UP:

  • It is the responsibility of the parent to get each girl to and from camp. Because Bucks Lake is so far away, we suggest you carpool with other parents. Drop off for girls is Monday, July 29th at 10:00am.  Please provide a sack lunch. We will not be feeding the girls until dinner time. 
  • Pick up time is Thursday, August 1st at 9:30am
  • In the registration below you will list who will be picking up your young women. If there are changes during the week, please have the new driver bring a signed note saying it is okay for them to pick up your daughter.

YOUNG WOMEN

Equipment

  • Lunch for Monday

  • Flashlight and batteries
  • Sunscreen
  • Bug spray and other bug repellent devices
  • Skewers for smores

For Camp Activities

  • Journal/Smashbook
  • Scriptures
  • Pen, pencil, scripture highlighter
  • Backpack for hike
  • Lip sync props/costumes
  • Pinecone Pal gifts: 3 different gifts, wrapped. You can buy or make them, but they should be small and inexpensive (chocolate may melt).

Clothing

  • Clothes for 3 days (pants/capri-length, no shorts or dresses)
  • Sweatshirt/jacket
  • Underclothing/underwear for 3 days
  • Pajamas, warm clothes to sleep in
  • Modest swimsuit (no bikinis with shirts over, no stomach showing)
  • Tennis shoes, Close-toed shoes, NO CROC SHOES, they are not safe at camp. 
  • Flip flops for shower and beach
  • Beach towel

  Hygiene

  • Body wash/soap
  • Deodorant
  • Shampoo & conditioner
  • Toothpaste & toothbrush
  • Face wash & wash cloth
  • Hairbrush and hair ties

Drop off and pick up information:

  • Drop off for girls is Monday, July 29 at 10:00 am. Please bring a sack lunch. We will not be feeding the girls until dinner time.
  • Pick up time is Thursday, August 1st at 9:30am. That is the approximate time that we will be giving out camp awards.  Everyone will have cleaned up, eaten breakfast, and been packed up to go by then. As soon as awards are done, it is time to go home. We would like to have camp cleared out by 10:00.

5TH YEAR YOUNG WOMEN
